About twoweektrip
twoweektrip aggregates travel news and travel blog posts, organized by how you like to travel -- overlanding, motorcycle touring, backpacking, and so on -- rather than by destination alone. Every story is a headline, a short attributed snippet, and a link back to the original publisher. We do not republish full articles.
Affiliate disclosure
Some links on twoweektrip are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to book or buy something, we may earn a small commission from the seller or booking platform, at no extra cost to you -- the price you pay is the same either way. Any card or listing built from an affiliate link is marked Affiliate where it appears, so it is never left to guesswork which links are affiliated and which are not. A link is only ever marked this way when it genuinely is an affiliate link; nothing is labeled "Affiliate" that doesn't actually earn a commission, and nothing that does is left unmarked. This disclosure is provided in the interest of full transparency and to comply with the FTC's endorsement guidelines (16 CFR Part 255) and Canada's Competition Act provisions on misleading advertising.
Privacy policy
This section describes exactly what twoweektrip does with visitor data today. It is intentionally short, because the site intentionally does very little:
- Server logs. Like effectively any website, the server that answers your request keeps standard access logs (things like IP address, requested URL, and timestamp) for operational and security purposes. Nothing beyond this is collected passively -- there is no analytics script, no cookie banner, and no third-party tracking pixel anywhere on this site.
- Newsletter signup. If you submit the newsletter form (on this page or
in the footer of every page), the email address you type is sent to
/api/subscribe, which stores it in this site's own database so we can build a future mailing. Submissions are rate-limited server-side to keep the form from being abused. No email has ever been sent to anyone, and no third-party email service has access to this data -- no sending provider is integrated at this stage, and this address is not shared with anyone. - Theme and travel-style preference. Your light/dark mode choice and
your preferred travel style are saved using your browser's own
localStorage. This data lives entirely on your device, is never transmitted to twoweektrip or to anyone else, and is only ever read back by your own browser on a later visit.
We do not sell visitor data, because we do not collect any beyond the above. Questions about this policy can be sent to the contact details published on this site.
